Jesse James and Kat Von D (also known as America’s least favorite couple) have called off their engagement, reports People.
“I’m so sad because I really love her. The distance between us was just too much,” said James in a statement.
On Twitter Von D wrote “I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, that’s all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”
The tattooed twosome had been engaged since January 2011 — were headed for a summer wedding. The announcement comes just says before the premiere of Von D’s show, L.A. Ink, which returns on Thursday.
James propelled to notoriety after his famous cheating scandal with now ex-wife Sandra Bullock, and many were shocked when shortly after he began a long distance relationship (he in Austin, TX, her in Los Angeles) with the 13-years-younger reality star.
