Justin Bieber’s Baby Mama Backs Down

The plot thickens! Although 20-year-old Mariah Yeater has never once been anything but 100% certain that Justin Bieber is the father of her 3-month-old son, TMZ reported today that
she is dropping the paternity lawsuit she filed against the teen superstar less than three weeks ago. A few hours after TMZ made their report, Yeater’s attorney  Jeffery Leving,  jumped into the fray, telling The Associated Press that “I did not step down and there is a legal team. It’s a new legal team. In light of death threats against my client, strategies have been reviewed… the San Diego team has been replaced by John Carlson from Los Angeles.”

Yeater’s lawyer went on to say that Yeater has not changed her story, but is stepping out of the public eye after receiving numerous threats against her life and the life of her small son. “The case was never dismissed,” Leving told The Associated Press, “negotiations are going on right now with Bieber’s council and we’re trying to negotiate a private, secure DNA test with the same safe guards that would exist if there were a court order, but without a court order.”

Bieber has already agreed to take a DNA test when he returns to the United States in December while his attorneys have agreed to sue for damages against Yeater. What do you think collegiettes™? Is Yeater backing down because of the shifting social tide or is she standing her ground and standing up for her son?
