After much speculation about who would play young Dumbledore in the Fastastic Beasts sequel, we finally have an answer: Jude Law.
Variety confirmed the news this morning, and we couldn’t be happier. While Hugo Weaving or Michael Sheen would’ve done a good job, Law just has a Dumbledore-esque vibe, don’t you think? We’re definitely expecting the sequel to show us more of what happened between Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald (played by Johnny Depp), a relationship which was touched on in the Harry Potter films and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The second installment in the Fantastic Beasts series hits theaters November 16, 2018.
