Yesterday, John Mayer decided that December 13 is the “lamest day of the year.” It also just so happens to be Taylor Swift’s birthday. You know, his ex Taylor Swift. Hmmm.

We don’t know for sure that he was throwing shade because early this morning, Mayer tweeted about the incident. Here, he seems to be suggesting that his previous tweet had nothing to do with Taylor and everything to do with something else. Maybe he just had a bad day?
