Jennifer Lawrence Surprised An Ohio High School Government Class to Talk About ‘Fighting Political Corruption’

Ohio high school students got the surprise of a lifetime when they were greeted by none other than Jennifer Lawrence on Friday.

Lawrence visited a government class of juniors and seniors along with Josh Graham Lynn, the managing director of Represent.Us, a grassroots organization that fights political corruption.

An active member of the organization, Lawrence talked to the class about fixing democracy.

According to PEOPLE, her knowledge about politics was a surprise to some of the students. They were definitely glad to have her, though.

“It makes a big difference when people who are just 10 years older than us come to talk about political issues,” said Londyn Crenshaw, a senior at Cleveland Heights High School. “When she said, ‘this is your time,’ that really made me think.”

J-Law — inspiring America’s youth.
