Lawrence visited a government class of juniors and seniors along with Josh Graham Lynn, the managing director of Represent.Us, a grassroots organization that fights political corruption.

According to PEOPLE, her knowledge about politics was a surprise to some of the students. They were definitely glad to have her, though.
“It makes a big difference when people who are just 10 years older than us come to talk about political issues,” said Londyn Crenshaw, a senior at Cleveland Heights High School. “When she said, ‘this is your time,’ that really made me think.”
