Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie XO Is So Cool & I’m Officially A Fan

Whether you’re familiar with his music or you watched Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve this year, you may know who Jelly Roll a.ka. Jason Bradley DeFord is. Best known for his songs “Need a Favor” and “Son of a Sinner,” Jelly Roll has become popular in the hip-hop and country music scenes. What you may not know, though, is that he’s married to Bunnie XO a.k.a Bunnie DeFord.

If you don’t know who Bunnie is, allow me to explain. Bunnie is a popular content creator who’s also the inspiration behind Jelly’s role heartfelt lyrics. The couple first met at Las Vegas’ Country Saloon in 2015 and  began dating when she offered to let him stay at her house while filming a music video in Vegas. One year later, in 2016, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO got married the same night he proposed to her onstage at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas. Along with being a supportive and loving wife, as well as stepmom to Jelly Roll’s kids, Noah and Bailey, Bunnie has also made quite a name for herself.

Bunnie XO has a YouTube channel.

In January 2018, Bunnie started her YouTube channel, and the first video she posted featured Jelly Roll as they talked about their relationship. Over the years, viewers have gotten to see the ups and downs of the couple’s relationship on her channel, including their short-lived breakup in 2018.

Along with keeping up with the timeline of their relationship, viewers have also gotten insight into the DeFord family’s life and Bunnie’s bond with her step-daughter, Bailey. In addition to the vlogs, Bunnie’s Youtube channel is also home to her series, Meet the DeFords and her podcast, Dumb Blonde. Meet the DeFords is a reality show that gives fans behind-the-scenes access to Jelly Roll and Bunnie’s personal lives, as well as the musician’s performances and his career as a rapper.

Season 2 of the series is currently live on the channel and there are new episodes every two-and-a-half-ish weeks. If you want to get a glimpse into Bunnie’s life and know more about her relationship with Jelly Roll from the beginning, you’ll find everything on her YouTube channel.

Bunnie XO is a podcaster.

Along with her YouTube channel, Bunnie has also hosted her podcast, Dumb Blonde, since 2019. Along with story times with her husband, she also interviews public figures. Some of her most recent interviews have featured popular TikTokers, country singers Brantley Gilbert and Priscilla Block , and TV personality Kail Lowry. There are new episodes out every Wednesday and you can listen to the podcast on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Audible

If you’re  craving some extra Dumb Blonde content, you can also subscribe to the podcast on Patreon. For $5 a month, you can get the “Balls Deep” package that includes access to Bunnie XO’s shows, Dumb Blonde, The Bunnie XO Show, Meet the DeFords, and Popaganda, as well as exclusive BTS photos.

For $15 a month, you can get “The Hanky Panky” package that includes everything you get in “Balls Deep” in addition to a free gift every four months, behind-the-scenes content, early access to all of Bunnie’s shows, and access to a private group chat with Bunnie.

Like Jelly Roll, Bunnie XO also makes music.

It seems that Jelly Roll isn’t the only musician in his family. Bunnie followed her husband’s lead and has released music of her own over the years. Every year since 2020, she’s released NSFW Christmas music.

In 2020, she came out with “Shimmy Down My Chimney,” which is the tune of the Christmas classic, “Santa Baby.” In the music video, she’s  performing the song like a jazz singer at a bar in Nashville. In 2021, she dropped a cover of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” called “Mista Grinch” featuring Savannah Dexter. Jelly Roll even makes a cameo in the music video video as “Grinchy Roll.”

In 2022, Bunnie released the  song  “Bring Your Package To me (Christmas Screw),” which is a spin on “All I Want For Christmas is You.” Unlike the rest of her music videos that take place in a bar or club, this music video is set at the DeFord’s home during Christmas dinner.  In December 2023, Bunnie released “12 Days of Rizzmas,” drawing inspiration from “12 Days of Christmas.”

Whether you’ve been a longtime listener of Dumb Blonde or this is the first you’ve heard of her, Bunnie XO is a strong career woman, as well as Jelly Roll’s biggest supporter.
