Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck who are the proud parents of a baby boy as of yesterday.
A source confirmed to Us Weekly that the celebrity couple of seven years welcomed a baby boy in Santa Monica, California. This will be their third child, joining daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. The couple dated after meeting on the set of Daredevil and married in June 2005.
Garner first announced her pregnancy in August last year and while she admitted she’d be thrilled to have another girl, she said that hubby Ben was excited either way. “I would have thought [he wanted a boy]. At first…I really thought so,” the Arthur actress told Jay Leno in January. “And then [Ben] kind of said, ‘Well, we have girls. We know how to do girls. My girls love me. I’m the big guy in the house.’ So, now I’m not sure.”
The couple recently took their two daughters on a trip to Disneyland, which prompted the girls to suggest Disney-themed baby names for their baby brother. “[They suggested] Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck,” Garner joked. “And then they moved on…[to] Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Smee.”
