It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got that BLING!!

It’s that time of the year again at Baylor University. The time when most students in Greek Life begin to skip classes because they were up late practicing… the time when rumors spread like ‘I saw her hat in the car… it had a cherry on it… they must be doing Birthday Party!!’ or ‘I heard her singing Beatles in the shower… they must be doing 60’s!’

… the time of year when all you see is red lipstick stuck to our lips from last night performance, black marks from the character shoes all over your tights… and costumes… LOTS AND LOTS OF COSTUMES all walking down 8th street…

… you got it, ALL UNIVERSITY SING IS HERE!!

For those of you who don’t know what SING is all about, it’s HUGE at Baylor. I mean, it’s pretty much the biggest reason I chose to go to school here–it’s THAT big. It’s an all-university competition and a tradition that spans almost 60 years of Baylor history. People fly in from all over the nation to see it. It has entertained millions including Jessica Simpson, David Crowder and Pat Green… It’s the most entertaining and fun two weeks of the semester (minus diadeloso, of coarse!)

… and this is is NO DIFFERENT!!

And Kappa Kappa Gamma is proving that Diamonds really ARE a girl’s best friend with their jewelry store-themed SING act!! The act is complete with Tiffany’s Boxes, 2 foot rings, diamond-studded costumes, and even some fun and flirty robbers!!! The songs range from ‘Hey Big Spender’ to ‘It don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t got that Swing (BLING)”, to the thefty burglar dance to ‘Smooth Criminal’!! CHECK OUT THIS AMAZING ACT HERE:

After watching that PRECIOUS act, I decided I need a little more BLING in my life! So, of coarse, I went down to Fifth Avenue to check out the one-and-only JUICY COUTURE!! And let me tell you, JUICY KNOWS BLING!! Here are some of my favorite items!!

Chandler is a senior at Baylor University where she is a Communication Specialist major with a double major in Spanish. A Texan through and through, Chandler was born and raised in the capital of Texas, Austin. At Baylor, Chandler is a part of Baylor Ambassadors, a lobbying team for more government-sponsored, monetary grants for private universities. She is also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma where she served as the recruitment chair. Chandler has spent the past year working as an intern at KWTX Channel 10 News, where she is trying to make her start as a reporter/anchor. She will be spending the next semester in New York, where she'll be interning at CBS's The Early Show. She is so excited about this awesome opportunity through Juicy Couture and Her Campus. Chandler LOVES Juicy because it completely fits her personality, outgoing, fun and unique, but classy. On top of loving Juicy, she enjoys playing her guitar, singing, talking and reading in Spanish. She also loves chocolate, the smell of roses, little kids, politics and hanging out with her friends and family.
