The iPhone 5 Will Change Your Life

Brace yourselves collegiettes, the iPhone 5 has finally arrived!

After months of rumors, speculation, and a lot of build up, Apple officially debuted its newest smartphone on Wednesday morning.

So, what’s all the buzz about?

Well, according to Apple, the iPhone 5 is the world’s thinnest and lightest iPhone ever made—it’s 18 percent thinner than its predecessor, the iPhone 4s. Not to mention, it also features a larger screen that allows for a fifth row of app icons, and it only weighs about four ounces. That’s 20 percent lighter than the 4s!

Even more exciting, however, is the improved battery life. Apple announced that iPhone 5 users will get up to eight hours of talk time on 3G.  Talk about efficient (a dead cell phone in class? No thank you).

If all that hasn’t sold you yet, than this sure will: Apple has updated the iPhone’s camera. Not only will you be guaranteed better pictures in low-lighting situations, but Apple also said that the camera can capture pictures 40 percent faster than ever before. With the iPhone 5 you can also take panoramic pictures. For the mobile uploading collegiette, this is a dream come true.

Like its predecessors, the iPhone 5 will be available in both black and white. Pre-ordering begins Friday, and the phone will be available beginning September 21 for a starting price of $199.

So, what do you think collegiettes? Is this new iPhone life-changing? Weigh in below!
