Need A Holiday Gift Idea? Try An Ice Spice Chia Pet

Ice Spice has an exciting new collaboration that’s for the “baddies” — and it’s here just in time for the holiday season. Following the release of her Ice Spice Dunkin Donuts Munchkin Drink, Living Product, a Chicago-based lifestyle brand, unveiled a new partnership with the rapperand it’s none other than Ice Spice Chia Pet. You know, the home decor figures that grow chia sprouts to resemble hair or fur.

The rapper’s terracotta figurine is modeled after her signature look, complete with a pink hoodie, diamond chain, and an Afro, which the chia sprouts grow out of after one to two weeks.

Living Product announced this collaboration with Ice Spice on Nov. 22, calling the partnership “truly rewarding.”

“We’re incredibly excited about the discussions the Ice Spice Chia Pet will ignite,” expressed Jake “JB” Brode, the founder of Living Product, in a press release provided by Chia Pet. “As a brand, our goal is to break cycles and craft new narratives using existing elements. Having the opportunity to manifest this vision through an influential artist like Ice and a brand with such rich heritage as Chia Pet has been truly rewarding.”

The rapper also shared her excitement for partnering with the iconic brand.

“Like my lyrics say, ‘I’m breakin’ records and I’m breakin’ news,’” she said in a statement obtained by Complex. “I’m not sure who stole whose look, but I’m into it and am very excited about this fun partnership. Chia Pet is an iconic brand with a dope jingle — so we have that in common.”

This collaboration makes the latest career move for Ice Spice, who’s been taking the music world by storm with her songs “Deli,” “Munch (Feelin’ U,” and “Barbie World.” Since her rise to fame in 2022, Ice Spice has been praised for her extraordinary rap skills and her ability to connect with multiple generations. Today, she’s considered Hip Hop’s latest Princess.

Ice Spice now joins the ranks of pop culture icons in the Chia Pet family, alongside celebrities like Bob Ross and RuPaul, each capturing their most iconic looks.
