ICYMI, Hudson Williams Is In A New Show, & It’s Coming Out Soon

If you’re bored, looking for a new spooky TV series to binge for Halloween and miss Hudson Williams as much as the rest of the internet does, then I have some great news for you: the Hudson Williams drought is officially over. Yaga, his next major project, is coming out soon — and I’m sat.

Yaga is a series that gives the folktale Baba Yaga a spooky, witchy twist, and is based on showrunner Kat Sandler’s 2019 play of the same name. The series stars Noah Reid as Redd, Hudson Williams as Henry Park, Clark Backo as Carson, and Carrie-Ann Moss as Katherine.

There will be 8 episodes, with the first two premiering on AMC+. The show was also created by Crave, the production company that Williams made his breakthrough with, starring in Heated Rivalry. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited. Based on the trailers and snippets, the show seems to be everything I’d ever want in my next favorite series: fun, hot, and kind of gay. 

Yaga revolves around a mystery surrounding the fictional town of Whittock. Henry, the heir to a successful family fishery business, has gone missing. On the case are Redd, a private investigator, and Carson, an uneasy detective. Among the suspects is a seductive professor who prefers younger men, Katherine. The series follows Redd and Carson and their investigation into the disappearance of Henry. As the mystery unravels, so do the secrets, lies, and magic in Whittock.

Yaga marks Williams’s second major project. Williams rose to fame in late 2025 after starring as Shane Hollander in Heated Rivalry, a popular series on the streaming platform Crave. Since his debut as Hollander, he’s grown to become one of the most popular actors in Hollywood and is known for his looks, personality, and — of course — friendship with fellow actor Connor Storrie.

One reason Heated Rivalry became so popular was because of its steamy scenes. And like Heated Rivalry, Yaga features plenty of hot scenes and promising spice. So, if you were a fan of the heat in Heated Rivalry (pun intended), then you’re in luck. Though the show isn’t officially out yet, some previews have shown some hot — and graphic — content. Yaga already has some pretty promising sex scenes. A mystery series that’s both spooky and smutty? Count me in!

When does Yaga come out?

Viewers in the U.S. and Canada can start streaming Yaga on AMC+ on Oct. 23. Prior to that, Yaga will world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Thursday, September 17, followed by a panel revealing exclusive content at New York Comic Con on Friday, October 9.

So, if you need something to hold you over until Season 2 of Heated Rivalry comes out — or want to watch something other than Gossip Girl when fall rolls around — keep your eyes out for Yaga.
