HC’s Super Superbowl Menu

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

I already have Superbowl food on the brain. It’s a marathon day of eating (and for those 21+, drinking). As a self-professed snack addict, this is my eating holiday. Already planning what to do for the big day (read: what to cook/force my friends to cook) I thought I’d share my Superbowl Sunday menu ideas with you. My friends and I are having a potluck of snacks!

I really like spicy food, so I was searching for some recipes involving one of my favorite ingredients — TABASCO® Original Red sauce! While they have a whole Game-Day Party Menu to check out, I wanted to share with you my favorite recipes!

Cara’s Guacamole
Mix together: 2 ripe avocados, ½ cup diced tomato (include seeds and juice), ¼ cup finely chopped onions, 1 ½ teaspoons of finely chopped garlic, 2 tablespoons minced jalapeño pepper, 3 tablespoons minced scallions, ¼ cup of coarsely chopped fresh cilantro,1 tablespoon lemon juice, ¾ tablespoon kosher salt, and ½ teaspoon of Tabasco sauce. Blend, serve, and amaze your friends!

Cara’s Hot ‘n’ Spicy Chex Superbowl Sunday Mix
Combine ¼ cup of melted butter, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 2-3 tablespoons of Tabasco sauce, 1 ¼ teaspoons of salt and mix well.
In a large bowl combine 3 cups Rice Chex, 3 cups Corn Chex, 2 cups of Wheat Chex, 1.5 cups of pretzels, 1.5 cups of cheez-its.
Pour liquid mix over cereal mixture and evenly coat the dry mix. Transfer into an open roasting pan and bake for 40 minutes at 250 degrees, removing every 10 minutes to stir.

Pizza
While pizza is a college food staple all year long, spice it up for Superbowl Sunday with Tabasco sauce. Just like with eggs, adding Tabasco sauce will add kick and extra flavor making it Pizza Perfected. Personally, when I add Tabasco sauce to pizza I like when it has pepperoni, sausage, and/or peppers. People think that Tabasco sauce is just used to make food spicy, but it is “So Much More Than Hot.” So when you use it with a meaty pizza like the one I like, it makes the pizza more flavorful and enhances the flavor already on the pizza.

What do you plan on cooking/eating for Superbowl Sunday? And what are your favorite things to use with Tabasco sauce? Weigh in below!
