Rudy Giuliani Blames Twitter After Typo Leads to Anti-Trump Website
Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s attorney, alleged that Twitter was behind a conspiracy to “invade” his Twitter account on Tuesday night after he accidentally made a typo in his post created a link which lead to a website that called Trump “a traitor to our country.”
According to NBC News, Giuliani accidentally posted a link to “G-20.In” last Friday, when his tweet didn’t leave a space between a sentence ending in “G-20” and a sentence beginning with “In.”

Jason Velazquez, an Atlanta-based web designer who runs a small online design business called Pixel Riot, quickly bought the domain and created a web page that said “Donald Trump is a traitor to our country,” The Associated Press reports.
Velazquez said he saw it as an opportunity to “do something funny.”
“I thought, ‘I could just buy this and put whatever I want on it,’” Velazquez told NBC News.
“Twitter allowed someone to invade my text with a disgusting anti-President message. The same thing-period no space-occurred later and it didn’t happen. Don’t tell me they are not committed cardcarrying anti-Trumpers. Time Magazine also may fit that description. FAIRNESS PLEASE,” Giuliani tweeted Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for Twitter said the social media giant can’t edit users’ posts and “the accusation that we’re artificially injecting something into a tweet is completely false.”
Velazquez has been updating G-20.in with links to new reports about the Russia investigation.
“I’m honestly speechless,” Velazquez said. “This would normally be a place where’d I’d make a big political statement, but the nature of this is so outrageous and hilarious that maybe I won’t.”
USA Gymnastics Files for Bankruptcy After Larry Nassar Lawsuits
USA Gymnastics has filed for bankruptcy as the organization struggles to recover from the lawsuits associated with the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal.
According to ABC News, the organization filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Indianapolis, Indiana, court records said.

The filing Wednesday said it would help “expedite an equitable resolution of the claims made by the survivors of sexual abuse perpetrated by Larry Nassar.”
“We owe it to the survivors to resolve, fully and finally, claims based on the horrific acts of the past and, through this process, seek to expedite resolution and help them move forward,” recently-elected chair of the USAG’s board of directors, Kathryn Carson, said. “Our sport is safer and stronger thanks to the bravery of these women. The Chapter 11 filing and the expedited resolution of these claims are critical first steps in rebuilding the community’s trust.”
USAG officials said claims made against the organization by Nassar’s victims are covered by insurance and would not be affected by the bankruptcy.
According to CNN, Nassar, a former USA Gymnastics physician, was sentenced to 40 to 175 in prison in January after pleading guilty to seven counts of sexual misconduct. Over 150 girls and women came forward and said Nassar had sexually abused them under the pretense that he was treating them.
The organization is also currently searching for a new chief executive officer.
“We hope to have this position filled in early 2019,” USAG said in their statement. “We’re looking for someone with experience and leadership skills to build a leadership team that will help all of us to continue to restore faith and confidence in USA Gymnastics, and to set and execute a clear vision for a successful future.”
Nancy Pelosi Considering Term Limits on Committee Chairs
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is reportedly considering placing term limits on Democratic committee chairs in an effort to secure the votes needed for her to become Speak of the House.
According to The Hill, Pelosi discussed signing onto the rules change with Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), who had signed a letter saying he would oppose Pelosi for Speaker of the House. Perlmutter had suggested that he would change his position and support Pelosi if she were to place term limits on committee chairs.
Under current caucus rules, Democrats do not have term limits for chairmanships or ranking member positions, which some have criticized since it doesn’t allow for younger members to rise up within the party.
Republicans have rules allowing members to only serve three terms as chair of a committee, The Huffington Post reports.
“Leader Pelosi is sympathetic to the concerns raised by many newer Members, including many in the Freshmen Class,” Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill, said. “This discussion will occur in the Caucus where it belongs.”
However, Hammill pushed back at the idea that the debate over term limits had anything to do with Pelosi’s race for speaker.
“This debate has been occurring in the caucus for years and has nothing to do with her nomination for speaker. Reports to the contrary are false,” Hammill said.
Even if Pelosi doesn’t make a deal on term limits for chairs, she still remains a favorite for the next speaker. The deal, however, could persuade some Democrats who have said they would oppose her for speaker, many of whom are freshmen, to support her.
A vote on the speaker will be held on January 3rd, which is the same day when the House will vote on its rules package, according to HuffPost.
