Vanessa Trump Files For Divorce From Donald Trump Jr.

Donald Trump Jr. — President Trump’s oldest son — and his wife are splitting. According to Page Six, Vanessa Trump filed the necessary paperwork in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday.

“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways,” said the couple in a join statement to E! News. “We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”

Vanessa reportedly filed for an uncontested proceeding, which means it’s not likely she’ll fight Donald Jr. for custody over their children or assets.

President Trump has yet to comment on the separation.

At Least Four Have Died After A Bridge Collapse In Florida

A newly installed pedestrian bridge in Miami — which was apparently built to provide Florida International University students a safe way to cross the busy roadway — collapsed on Thursday afternoon, trapping a minimum of eight cars underneath. At least four people were killed, but the total death count is uncertain as of Thursday night. A number of other people reported injuries at Kendall Regional Medical Center.

The $14.2 million bridge was constructed last Saturday, according to CBS News. The cause of the collapse was not immediately clear. Munilla Construction Management, the construction company that built the bridge, took to Twitter with a statement on Thursday, adding that it would launch an investigation into the matter.

Florida International University originally touted the bridge as  “the first in the world to be constructed entirely of self-cleaning concrete.”

According to a tweet, the University is still “involved in rescue efforts and gathering information.”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller Subpoenaed The Trump Organization

The New York Times reported on Thursday that special counsel Robert Mueller subpoenaed the Trump Organization — the primary holding company for various Trump business entities — for Russia-related documents.

According to ABC News, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders referred reporters asking about the matter to the Trump Organization. Alan S. Futerfas, attorney for the organization, released a statement on Thursday, adding that the group intends to cooperate with the investigation.

“Since July 2017, we have advised the public that the Trump Organization is fully cooperative with all investigations, including the Special Counsel, and is responding to their requests,” Futerfas said. “This is old news and our assistance and cooperation with the various investigations remains the same today.”

The subpoena is the latest development in Mueller’s nearly year-long investigation into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
