Fans Are Divided Over Harry Styles’ Beard In The “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” Video

On Oct. 27, Harry Styles released the music video for his song “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” from his hit album Harry’s House. However, what has fans buzzing has nothing to actually do with the video or song, but rather… Styles’ beard? In the video, Styles has a fully grown beard, a huge contrast from his typical clean shaven look (well, not counting his one *interesting* look in Don’t Worry Darling) — and fans are divided over whether they like it. And honestly? I don’t know what to think, either.

The music video for “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” was initially announced on Twitter. In the Twitter announcement, a photo from the music video was revealed of a wet (or sweaty?) Styles, shirtless with an unkempt beard. The music video for “Music For A Sushi Restaurant” follows Styles’ music video for “As It Was” (which also sent fans into a frenzy, but for other reasons). Since releasing the video for “As It Was” over six months ago, Styles has also dropped a couple of videos for “Late Night Talking,” but other than that, he’s been pretty MIA in the music video realm, making his grand return even more exciting and unexpected. But what fans really couldn’t have expected was that beard. I mean, just why? How?!

Fans took to Twitter to share their reactions to Styles’ new facial hair, and the results were really mixed, TBH. While some Harries were obsessing over Styles’ scraggly new look, others begged the 28-year-old singer to shave it off (although, I’m assuming the beard is fake anyway, so that point is moot).

Even after looking at all these tweets, I still don’t know what to think. Are we team beard?
