Calgary-born actor Cory Monteith, who stars as Finn Hudson on “Glee,” was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room, the city’s police department declared.
The 31-year-old actor was alone at his time of death, as video footage confirms. He was discovered after noon on Saturday when hotel staff went to inform him that he had missed his checkout time. While no official cause of death has yet been determined, there are speculations that Monteith died of an overdose as he had been battling substance abuse problems.
Monteith was found on the 21st floor of Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. Investigations are under way to piece together what may have happened to the actor.
