Warner Bros. TV has announced that Fuller House showrunner and Full House creator Jeff Franklin will not return to the Netflix series after the production company received complaints of Franklin’s recurring abusive behavior. Variety reports that the 63-year-old being dismissed from his duties will not affect Netflix’s plans to film and release Season 4 of the spinoff series Fuller House.
Executives at Warner Bros. reportedly first learned of Franklin’s troubling actions more than two years ago when they received an anonymous letter describing his interactions with the Fuller House writing staff and other employees. Franklin was reportedly verbally abusive toward his team and would speak inappropriately in the writers’ room. The anonymous sources also spoke about his tendency to make “sexually charged comments” about his personal life and invite women he was dating to set for small guest roles in the series.

While it hasn’t been specified if executives looked into original reports of Franklin’s behavior at the time, several other complaints soon followed, inspiring Warner Bros. to research the validity of the claims.
Franklin has not been accused of sexual harassment or physical misconduct in any encounters with Fuller House staffers.
