It’s that time of the year for pink ribbons β it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With over 200,000 women in the United States diagnosed with breast cancer every year, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States. That’s why it’s so important to show your support and purchase pink from some of these big name retailers this month!
1. Target
You’ve already done your yearly back-to-college run through Target for last minute dorm must-haves, but the retailer is putting out a line of pink awareness products from Conair hair dryers to hair curlers, and cosmetic sets. Target will be donating 15 percent of the proceeds to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. And the best part? Nearly all of these items ship for free!
2. Sephora
If you want to splurge a little more on your beauty essentials, make a stop by the mall to Sephora. Sephora’s Beauty That Gives Back campaign is offering BCA products like compact mirrors and brushes, as well as exclusive products from brand names like Clinique.
3. Forever 21
If you love to shop at Forever 21 to satisfy your fashionista style on a budget, shop their line of adorable and affordable clothes and accessories as part of their Pink is Courage promotion. You’ll know that you’ll be doing your charitable duty (they are donating 10 percent of the purchase price of each item to Susan G. Komen for the Cure) and you can walk away with a cute pair of pajamas or a really chic trench coat.
4. Yoplait
Save those lids, ladies! If you love yogurt as a light lunch snack like me, you could be a perfect promoter of breast cancer awareness. With their Save Lids to Save Lives campaign, the yogurt manufacturer donates 10 cents to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for each signature pink lid they receive.
5. Nordstrom
This month, the high-end retailer Nordstrom is teaming up with dozens of brand names to support breast cancer awareness and they’re offering a ton of pink ribbon products. Some of the cutest products include hot-pink Hunter boots, limited edition Promise Me perfume, and Wacoal lace bras. And for every limited edition Embrace the Lace bra sold through Oct. 16, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
