It’s no secret that some celebrities bear an uncanny resemblance to each other (like Victoria Justice and Nina Dobrev). Celebs often share stories of fans confusing them with another star, but this recent revelation from Lucy Hale is just hilarious.
During an interview on The Talk, the PLL star revealed that there was a time when fans used to think she was dating Justin Bieber. We know this seems absolutely absurd, but there’s a legit reason why they assumed that.
“During the time [Selena] started dating Justin Bieber, [fans] would try to take my phone to see if I was texting Justin,” Lucy explained. Well, that’s just taking the whole situation to the extreme, if you ask us. Luckily, Lucy laughed off incidents like this. “I’m like, ‘I’ll try to take a picture with you to make your dreams come true if you think I’m Selena, but I’m not.'”
In defense of those fans, there was a time when Lucy and Selena might have resembled each other, but now the two are clearly distinguishable. These days, Lucy is sporting shorter, blonder locks! And since Selena and the Biebs are dunzo, there shouldn’t be any more mix-ups on that front either.
