We’re all kind of in freakout mode over how cute Selena Gomez and beau The Weeknd were at the Met Gala last night – yes, Selena’s mom included.
As Teen Vogue noticed, in total mom fashion, Selena’s mother Mandy posted one of those half-sweet, half-totally-embarrassing mom comments on The Weeknd’s Instagram of the couple walking the blue and gold carpet.

Considering the fact that the photo has 2 million likes and more comments than anyone could probably feasibly count, I kind of love whoever managed to find this little gem, proving celebrity moms are just as protective as IRL ones.
Not only does Mama Gomez approve, but Selena was reportedly spotted telling The Weeknd she loves him last night, meaning things must be getting *serious*.
