Attention all juniors and seniors majoring in communications, broadcast journalism, or journalism: now is your chance to be discovered!
The FOX News Channel College Challenge is offering students within these majors a chance to win a $10,000 scholarship, a $10,000 university grant, an interview for a job or internship, and a trip to New York City!
All that you have to do is team up with one to three friends at your school to form a news team, and sign up by submitting online application before February 8. Then your team will compete by submitting a video news package on one of FOX News Channel’s suggested topics, or another news topic of your choice.
Your video should be between two and a half minutes to three minutes long, and the deadline for your team to submit their finished video is March 8. Most importantly, your news piece should be objective, fair, truthful, clear, and professional!
Winners will recieve a $10,000 scholarship, to be divided evenly among team members. Winning team members who are juniors will be eligible for a summer news internship with FOX News Network, while seniors will be invited to interview for an entry-level position with the FOX News Network, L.L.C. And finally, the winning team’s school will receive a $10,000 grant to use toward scholarships, grants, or new equipment for their broadcast journalism department.
