When Is Dua Lipa’s Third Album Coming? She’s Posting Cryptic Teasers

Dua Lipa continues to send fans into a frenzy after she posted a cryptic teaser hinting at new music to her Instagram page. Earlier this month, Dua Lipa deleted all of the photos on her Instagram account, leaving her followers to speculate about her latest project. Although Dua Lipa’s third studio album has not been officially announced yet, Dua Lipa previously confirmed her return to music in an interview last year with The New York Times.

The latest teaser shared by the artist, which was released on Oct. 29, featured a video where Dua is repeatedly photographed with a key in her mouth while a short snippet of a song with the lyrics, “catch me or I go…” plays in the background. Adding to the mystery, the caption accompanying the video read, “I’m not here for long.” Soon after the Instagram was posted, it was deleted, and is no longer found on Dua Lipa’s Instagram page. Fans believe that Dua’s cryptic message could be a nod to her previous teaser posted on Oct. 27, which was mysteriously removed shortly after being shared and captioned, “Catch me before I go.” Luckily, both of the posts are still live on Lipa’s X (or Twitter) page. The teasers have Dua Lipa fans everywhere speculating what they could mean, and if the latest one is the first snippet of the singer’s upcoming third album.

Dua Lipa is set to take a bold departure from the disco vibes of her 2020 album, Future Nostalgia, and create a psychedelia-inspired album. According to the aforementioned feature in The New York Times, the pop star’s upcoming third studio album, scheduled for release in 2024, will draw inspiration from the psychedelic sounds of the 1970s, shying away from her iconic house and disco-inspired hits such as the five-time platinum “New Rules” on Dua Lipa and “Don’t Start Now” on Future Nostalgia. It has also been rumored that Kevin Parker, the frontman of the psychedelic-rock group Tame Impala, is among the select group of musicians collaborating on the forthcoming Dua Lipa album.

As the anticipation for Dua Lipa’s new album continues to build, dedicated fans have taken to social media to post about their excitement, as well as speculate about any other details surrounding the mystery of when Dua Lipa’s leading single will drop.

Looks like Dua Lipa fans will have to wait a bit longer until the single is actually released. I, for one, will be here waiting.
