Drake Stopped His Concert to Call Out a Guy Who Was Harassing Women, So He’s Officially My Hero

It sounds like Drake needs a cape and superhero suit ASAP—the rapper stopped his show in Australia Monday night to call out a fan who was harassing women in the crowd.

In a video clip posted on Instagram, Drake halts his performance to call a man out in the crowd. “If you won’t stop touching girls, I’m going to come out there and fuck you up,” he said while pointing at the man in the crowd. “If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m going to come out there and fuck your ass up.” Yes, Drake—you tell ’em!

Drake’s willingness to pause his entire show to call out harassment shows there’s some hope left for humanity, considering the slew of sexual harassment allegations coming from every direction in this industry. I’m glad Drake won’t turn a blind eye when he sees women being harassed.

I’m not the only one obsessing over Drake’s course of action. Twitter blew up, naturally, to praise the singer for taking a stand.

Like everyone on Twitter, I’m thankful for Drake, now and forever. We need more men like him to speak up against harassment. I applaud him for being a true hero.

You'll usually find her at a concert or cafe somewhere, which is where she spends majority of her free-time. Talking to band members after their shows is a hobby, along with thrifting & indulging in all aspects of pop culture. After college, she plans to spend more time at concerts, getting paid to write about music and bands.
