Fans Think Dalton Gomez Might’ve Cheated On Ariana Grande Because Of Her New Song

It’s finally here! On March 8, Ariana Grande released her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, making this her first album in four years. The album includes 13 tracks — all songs being solo with the exception of the song “Ordinary” which features Grande’s grandmother, Nonna. Making this her official return to music, fans on all platforms — including me — gathered at midnight to hear Eternal Sunshine in all its glory. However, the song that stuck out was the title track, “Eternal Sunshine,” which may have revealed some things about Grande’s past marriage to Dalton Gomez. Fans are wondering, did Dalton Gomez cheat on Ariana Grande? Her Campus reached out to both Grande and Gomez’s teams for comment but didn’t hear back by the time of publication.

The song “Eternal Sunshine” is about moving on from a not-so-good relationship. The lyric that has Arianators sharpening their pitchforks says, “Now she’s in my bed, laying on your chest. Now I’m in my head wondering how this ends,” essentially insinuating some type of infidelity in a relationship.

The song continues with Grande’s confessions of heartbreak and feeling sorry about ending the relationship in the chorus, with lyrics like, “I’ll be the first to say I’m sorry, now you got me feeling sorry. I showed you all my demons all my lies, yet you played me like Atari.”

Ari definitely gets a lot off her chest in song, and has fans speculating the cause for the singer’s split from her ex-husband, Gomez, which was revealed in September 2023. Many fans are called to believe that Gomez reportedly wasn’t faithful during the marriage, and if they weren’t happy with him before, they are not happy now.

With the release of the album, many fans began to shame the media for how they treated Grande when her marriage ended, and when her new relationship blossomed with actor Ethan Slater. Grande faced a lot of scrutiny when news of her relationship with Slater dropped. The news of her new relationship caused many to believe that Grande was unfaithful during her marriage, and some even went as far as saying Grande ruined Slater’s past relationship with Lilly Jay.

Grande did what she does best to combat the rumors — she used her music. In the album Eternal Sunshine, Grande seems to lay all these rumors about her relationships and her life to rest. As a die-hard Ariana stan, I’m always thankful for new music. If you haven’t checked out the album yet, it’s definitely worth listening to if you wanna hear what the new Ari has to say.
