Demi Moore was rushed to the hospital late Monday night and has since checked into rehab to recover from health issues. This comes just months after the 49-year-old actress filed for divorce from her much younger husband Ashton Kutcher and scandalous rumors of infidelity in their marriage.

TMZ confirmed that Moore was admitted to a hospital after paramedics responded to a 911 call placed from her L.A. home. A rep for the actress told People, “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”

“I can confirm that we received an emergency call at 10:49 p.m. for an unknown illness related to that address,” L.A. City Fire Dept. spokesman Matt Spence told People when asked about the incident at Moore’s residence. “We transported at least one patient to a local hospital. The patient was transported at 11:21 p.m.”

Moore was causing a stir in the media during the months that led up to her divorce when she made several red carpet appearances looking dramatically gaunt and unhealthy. As the cover model for the February issue of Bazaar, Moore admitted that she had lost an unhealthy amount of weight in older age. She said she is “now experiencing my body as extremely thin — thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would be saying to me, ‘You’re too thin, and you don’t look good.'”

She will consequently be cancelling her role as Gloria Steinem in Lovelace, the highly anticipated film about porn star Linda Lovelace.
