The internet came to a full stop on Jan. 18 when Emmyn Calleiro posted a video on TikTok announcing his new song, “Girl-Shaped Crater,” as well as the absolute bombshell that is his and Dani Cimorelli’s relationship reinstatement. TikTok, let’s breathe a collective sigh of relief: Dani and Emmyn are back together… or so it seems.
Almost one year after they announced their divorce, Dani and Emmyn appeared in a TikTok together on Emmyn’s music account, Games We Play. The tear-jerker had us all spiraling as Emmyn played his new song for her, which had lyrics that literally read, “If you don’t have a god complex, I’ll give you one.” (Actually giggling and kicking my feet at this!)
In the recent post, Dani and Emmyn told their long-time fans they’ve decided to work things out, and they “both just needed some time to grow,” implying that their break up was generally amicable, and possibly a mutual decision. They’re original separation announcement on Instagram last year also suggested they ended on good terms. Well, “good terms” must be an understatement, because here they are, one year later, back together! Plus, the song he wrote is super, super cute.
Together since 2018, the internet couple got engaged in 2019 and were married for just over three years — during which time Dani left her group, Cimorelli, to focus on her own passions, like solo music and social media.
As Emmyn’s career took off with the popularity of his song, “Get A Job” in 2022, the couple continued to express their happiness and played on their love story which helped to publicize the EP. After blowing up on TikTok, the couple were beloved by their fans and mass media until people noticed Dani’s absence from Emmyn’s Europe tour.
Since the divorce announcement in March 2023, the couple have been living their own, seemingly happy lives. But no one has seen them quite as happy as in this recent post, back together. It looks like fans are more than happy to see the couple work things out!
