Cole Sprouse is Hitting the Big Screen In a New Romance ‘Five Feet Apart’

Riverdale favorite Cole Sprouse is making his return to the big screen in the first film of his adult career. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Cole is set to star in the upcoming romantic drama Five Feet Apart.

Written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, the film is sure to be a tearjerker. According to the synopsis, the film follows two young people who are being treated for critical illnesses. They meet and fall in love, trying to make the most of their borrowed time. Cue the heartbreak.

Cole is in negotiations to play one half of the doomed couple, and the female lead has not yet been announced. The movie will be directed by Jane the Virgin star Justin Baldoni.

Cole made his film debut in the 1999 Adam Sandler film Big Daddy and then appeared in a few more films over the next ten years. His last film role was in a 2010 direct-to-video cartoon, making Five Feet Apart his first film role of his adult career. Recently, fans have been loving Cole’s performance as the brooding and sweet Jughead Jones on Riverdale.

Shooting for Five Feet Apart is set to begin in the spring, and I can’t wait for some more details on this exciting project!
