Detective Elliot Stabler, known outside of the Law & Order-verse as actor Christopher Meloni is slated to join the cast of True Blood for the upcoming 5th season.
TVline.com reports that the 50-year-old television star is “in talks to play an incredibly powerful vampire” and that although no contracts have been signed, if Meloni were to join the cast, he would have “a major role.” HBO has confirmed that they are currently undergoing the negotiating process with Meloni.
