Channing Tatum & Zoë Kravitz Are Engaged & Their Dating Timeline Is So Cute, TBH

Even though 2023 may be considered the year of celebrity breakups, it’s a nice feeling to know that there is still happy news out there. ICYMI, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have gotten engaged after two years of being together, and the internet is living for this recent engagement. Myself included!

On Oct. 31, People confirmed that Tatum and Kravitz were officially engaged. If you’re new to the party, Tatum and Kravitz have been together since 2021, but have kept the relationship under the radar for the past couple of years. The two have openly talked about acting together, their relationship, and how they met throughout these last few years in interviews, but I’m here today to give you the relationship timeline that you may be looking for regarding these two. 

Jan. 2021: Kravitz and Tatum start working together.

The story begins in January of 2021. Kravitz was set to make her directorial debut, P*ssy Island, and casted Tatum to be her love interest in the film. The two began working together on set, where a source told People that the two of them were not romantically involved with each other at that time. 

June 2021: Kravitz speaks about Tatum in an interview for the first time. 

In an interview with Deadline, Kravitz gushed about Tatum. Kravitz also revealed that Tatum was the inspiration for her main character. Kravitz spoke about Tatum’s previous work, saying, “I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter,” and talked about the process of working together. 

August 2021: Kravitz and Tatum begin hanging out with each other more often.

Kravitz and Tatum were photographed in New York City together in August 2021, where photos showed Kravitz wrapping her arms around Tatum during a bike ride. The two of them also were seen at coffee shops together, and in early September, the pair were seen more frequently around the city together. 

September 2021: Kravitz and Tatum make their first event appearance at the 2021 Met Gala. 

During the 2021 Met Gala, Kravitz and Tatum were photographed walking the red carpet together holding hands, and spending the event together. A few weeks later in October, the two were photographed seemingly confirming a potential relationship, with the two of them holding hands around New York City. 

January 2022: Tatum and Kravitz both talk about each other publicly. 

In an interview with Variety, Tatum talks about his respect for Kravitz as a director and actress. Tatum calls Kravitz “a perfectionist in the best kind of way,” and that Kravitz influenced his personal style. On the other hand, Kravitz also spoke to Elle about Tatum’s performance in Pussy Island, expressing that she was “excited” to see him take on a darker role. 

November 2022: Kravitz speaks about the relationship in an interview. 

During Kravitz’s interview with GQ, she addressed the moment she realized that the relationship was no longer private. “You want to keep it sacred and private as long as you can, so that you don’t have to even think about what the world thinks about it,” said Kravitz candidly, and opened up about the kind of person Tatum is. “He’s just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art.

January 2023: Tatum revealed that he follows fan accounts dedicated to Kravitz. 

During Tatum’s interview with Vanity Fair, Tatum revealed that he followed fan accounts of Kravitz. Tatum laughed about this, saying that he “has no chill” and wanted to “see what she was up to,” not thinking that anyone would see. How sweet!

October 2023: Rumors about Kravitz and Tatum being engaged surface online. 

On Halloweekend 2023, Kravitz and Tatum were photographed together wearing matching costumes. However, the internet noticed that Kravitz was wearing an engagement ring that weekend, leaving fans to speculate that Kravitz and Tatum are engaged. Multiple sources told People that the pair are officially confirmed to be engaged, and that they are incredibly happy together.
