Chad Michael Murray Went To Visit Tree Hill & I’m Crying

Apparently we aren’t the only ones who miss One Tree Hill.

Yesterday, Chad Michael Murray posted two pictures on Instagram from his visit to some Tree Hill locations nine years after his 2009 exit from the show—and he’s just as emotional about it as you are.

Murray recreated his part from OTH’s intro on the bridge—complete with the hood down, in true Lucas Scott fashion—and posed in front of his character’s house in Wilmington, North Carolina. (What do you mean Tree Hill isn’t a real town?) It’s so good to see that these places mean as much to him as they do to the fans.

He even told fans not to graffiti the house, which is owned by a real family.

A little while back, Murray shared another Instagram photo with former co-stars James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, and the love is still there.

One Tree Hill ended in 2012 but still has a massive fanbase. Last year, creator Mark Schwahn told IANS, that he was open to the possibility of reviving OTH as a movie, if the original cast would be up for it. “If the cast is willing to, I will absolutely do it,” Schwahn said. “I love that cast and the characters. I don’t know if we will all be at the same place and same time, but I wouldn’t be the one saying no.” Though we’re not too sure that will happen, at least not under Schwahn’s direction, who was accused of sexual harassment by several cast members (#boybye!), including Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton.

We may not get a One Tree Hill movie or reboot, but at least there’s Hulu, which is streaming all seasons right now.
