‘Catching Fire:’ Let the Countdown Begin!

Movie theaters across the nation are bound to be packed to capacity yet again, my friends. Kids, collegiettes, and parents will line up to escape to another world. The world of Katniss Everdeen, that is.

On November 22, 2013, you will finally be able to “Hunger Games” for the best seat in the house at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premier. The moment we have all been waiting for since the credits aired at the end of the first movie is finally in sight. But don’t worry, if you can’t make it the night of the premier, the first movie kept lines out the door for weeks. It’s still playing in some places, too!

Also – in case you feel that a simple movie theater isn’t good enough for the premier, it’s being released in IMAX theaters as well. That’s right, the games will be brought to life on a 70-foot tall screen.

But that’s not all! The Hunger Games official website has declared that the Quarter Quell, a special anniversary of the actual Hunger Games, will be shot on Kauai, a very lucky island in Hawaii. For any Hunger Games fan, such as myself, this is huge!

If you’re wondering why it’s so important and magical that it’s being shot in Kauai, aside from the scenic views, then picking up a copy of Catching Fire soon might be a good idea. I mean, now that the movie has an official release date, preparation is in order.

I think it’s safe to say that this girl is excited for the premier. Normally when a movie stems from a book the book always wins; however, The Hunger Games did an awesome job at bringing the first movie to life. I can’t wait to see what they do this time!

Hoping for a ticket to a midnight premier? Best of luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor (and mine as well!).
