In a recent interview with Andy Cohen, Caitlyn Jenner publicized her rocky relationship with members of the Kardashian family. While discussing her memoir, The Secrets of My Life, Jenner reacted to the negative comments ex-wife Kris Jenner and some of her former stepchildren have thrown her way. Most suprisingly, she admitted, “[Khloe] doesn’t want to talk to me either. But she hasn’t talked to me in, like, two years.”
After she came out as Caitlyn on the cover of Vanity Fair, the Kardashians took to social media to express their love and support. Khloe was actually one of the first in the family to share a touching message. In June 2015, she wrote on Instagram, “We were given this life because you were strong enough to live it! I couldn’t be prouder!!! Caitlyn, You are beautiful!!!”
Not too long after, Jenner’s stepdaughter started to distance herself. Khloe expressed her frustration about Jenner’s Vanity Fair interview in a 2015 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She accused Caitlyn of “bashing” Kris Jenner and tearing other people down to bring herself up.
Caitlyn now remembers how close she and Khloe used to be, saying of their estrangement, “That’s sad. I was very very close to Khloé, I mean I had 23 years of raising her. I met Khloe when she was five years old. Of course it hurts.”
Only time will tell if Jenner’s relationship with Khloe can be salvaged.
