Brooke Schofield Had *A Lot* To Say About Matt Rife On ‘Cancelled,’ & Rightfully So

If you have a TikTok account, you’ve more than likely come across one of Matt Rife’s videos. While I can admit some of his bits make me chuckle, they are often overshadowed by his quips about domestic violence and his tendency to make women the butt of his jokes. (Also, what 28-year-old beefs with a six-year-old?) Now, Rife is back in the hot seat after being exposed by podcast host Brooke Schofield.

Here’s the tea: Earlier in the year, Rife came onto the podcast Cancelled With Tana Mongeau and pretended to not know Schofield, who co-hosts the show. It’s no surprise that Schofield was a little uncomfortable, as according to her, the last time she saw him was when he said “I’ll be at your house in an hour babe.” Yikes.

“I thought it was going to be like, ‘Oh, like, yeah, we know each other,'” Schofield said in the Dec. 12 episode of Cancelled. “I just felt weird because I was just like, ‘Why are you pretending you don’t know me?’ It was just the weirdest energy.”

Schofield also went on to criticize Rife’s past comments he made on a Feb. 22 episode of the Stiff Socks podcast, hosted by comedians Trevor Wallace and Michael Blaustein. In the episode, Rife noted his “disgust” for “outie vaginas” as well as describing his type as blondes. Schofield (a brunette) alluded that the two were hooking up while he made these comments, and expressed how RIfe’s comments made her feel self-conscious about her body and appearance.

“Now, I’m going to give you guys the Cancelled exclusive here, but I, Brooke Schofield, have an ‘outie vagina,” she said in the podcast. “And so does f*cking two-thirds of America.”

Schofield continued, “The public was like, ‘Oh my God, how horrible…’ Imagine how I felt! He literally just went on a podcast and was like, ‘Yeah, I’m f*cking repulsed by this b*tch.'”

Rife allegedly cheated on Schofield… and, like, several other women.

While Schofield and Rife’s relationship was never made public, the podcaster dished that she was tagged in the comments of a TikTok that featured Matt with another woman during the time they were seeing each other. She DM’d the creator and was quickly put into a group chat with other women. Now this group chat didn’t disappoint as it had timelines, Venn diagrams, and many comparing notes. According to Schofield, Rife was seeing around seven women at the same time. “For a man who doesn’t have time, this man had the most time,” said Schofield. Her Campus reached out to Rife’s team for comment, but did not hear back at the time of publication.

Trying to not jump to conclusions, Schofield texted Rife to confront him trying to be as polite as possible, but also voice her feelings. “How embarrassing is it that I’m literally currently getting dragged for defending you while also in a group chat with seven other girlfriends you had?” texted Schofield. To make matters worse, Rife had allegedly blocked her number… looks like someone is guilty.

To my surprise, Rife has kept his love life private for the most part. However, he hasn’t been afraid to warn friends about his failed relationships. In 2019, Matt took every opportunity to slander his ex, actor Kate Beckinsale, who was dating Pete Davidson at the time telling Davidson to “run.” The public didn’t hear much about his personal life until 2023 when we learned about a brief fling with actor Lucy Hale and confirmation of his current relationship with actor Jessica Lord

Rife has yet to comment on this, but it seems like the hate train for this comedian is getting longer, and longer, and longer. Only time will tell how many more TikTok videos we get from this problematic comedian.
