When Beyoncé showed off her post-baby bod at her hubby’s Carnegie Hall concert last week, we knew it was only a matter of time until celebrity royal couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé shared photos of their newborn baby girl Blue Ivy Carter.
You might have thought you’d have to buy the latest issue of People or Star to see a first full glimpse of baby Blue Ivy, but instead of following in the footsteps of other proud celebrity parents like JLo and Marc Anthony or Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, selling first exclusive pictures of their babies to media outlets, Queen Bey and Jay-Z took to Tumblr to show the first few glimpses of Blue Ivy to the world.
They posted a few family pics on a basic blog, named “HelloBlueIvyCarter,” and launched it onto the Web for fans to see.
They posted five pictures of the adorable newborn– two solo shots of Blue Ivy, one with Mom, one with Dad, and one of the baby’s tiny hand touching Beyoncés.
Alongside the photos, they posted a note that reads, “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives – The Carter Family.”
