Beyoncé (Almost) Confirmed for Super Bowl

All it took was an update on Twitter.

Beyoncé, who rarely takes to Twitter, changed her profile photo on her Twitter to a clever shot that told diehard fans what they have been waiting to hear for years and years. The photo showcased the date “Feb. 3, 2013,” the date of the Super Bowl, written on small strips imitating football players’ eye black.

The NFL has not yet confirmed the meaning behind this photo, but fans can expect to hear an official statement on Wednesday.

This announcement will (hopefully) mark the superstar’s first Super Bowl halftime show. The Queen, 31, has offered her vocals to the national anthem in 2004 at the Super Bowl in Houston, but has never taken the stage during the halftime show.

Although Beyoncé’s performance seems to have basically been confirmed, E! News reported that people are speculating that husband, Jay-Z, or Destiny’s Child members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland will share the stage with the Queen B.

Keep your ears open for the official announcement from the NFL on Wednesday!
