Bandeau Meets Cleavage Cover-Up

A while ago, I decided I couldn’t really pull off bandeaus. It was an unfortunate fact I needed to understand — despite the fact that I loved the shirts you wear with them. But since trying out Chickies Cleavage Covers I think I have found an in-between.

Chickies are cleavage covers which work like a tank top and make tops look less “slutty” but without the bulk of a second layer. But unlike another cleavage hider I’ve reviewed, these also serve the role as a bandeau and cover you up more than a bra does on your sides and back.

I tested out the black Chickie and loved it. You wear it over your bra and around your back; it’s held up by snapping pieces of the Chickie around your bra straps. While it definitely looks like I’m wearing a black tank top, I also wore it with a shirt that a bandeau-wearer could wear, and it definitely worked because it does go all the way around.

The Chickie felt very secure, which I really liked, as the first day I tested it out I wore a very low top in a setting where low-cut would have been extremely inappropriate. It didn’t slip down at all!

The Chickies come in other styles and colors (I really like the black lace, I think that could look great under thin sweaters, among other things). Check them out HERE and get the black plain Chickie I tested out for $33.
