Growing up, I loved watching YouTube videos. I was a big Jenna Marbles fan, and of course, I kept up with everything Bethany Mota was doing. I also liked watching family vloggers, because I really can’t figure them out, especially the Ace Family.
The Ace Family is one of the most popular family vlogging channels, having garnered over 18 million subscribers on YouTube. The family is composed of the mother, Catherine Paiz, the father, Austin McBroom, and their three children, Elle (6), Alaia (4), and Steel (2). Paiz and McBroom got married in 2017, but announced their divorce on Instagram on Jan. 11. Although the Ace Family was loved by many, McBroom has not been well-liked.
McBroom was accused of cheating on Catherine in 2021 by influencer Tana Mongeau. At the time, Mongeau tweeted, “one time austin mcbroom was cheating on catherine with a random b*tch and she left a lipstick in his car / then i was sitting with jake in the car and he gets a facetime / it’s from austin (crying) and catherine, yelling “IS THIS TANA’S LIPSTICK AUSTIN SAYS IT IS” / (it wasn’t).”
McBroom responded to Mongeau’s tweet with one of his own. “🧢to the biggest clout chaser of them all! And it was actually Erika Costell’s lipstick dummy, I was taking Jake and her back to Jake’s house. This lame as lie ain’t gunna save the attention that your lil bf Bryce is about to get for his ass whoopin,” he tweeted. Yikes.
But it didn’t stop there.
McBroom is also a boxer, who had a rivalry with YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul. In June 2021, at the height of their tension, McBroom shared a “taunting video” with Tyron Woodley, one of Paul’s upcoming competitors. Paul created a now-deleted TikTok as a response, in which he said, “I’m in trouble, Austin? Does your wife know that you cheat on her every weekend? Does she know that you message every single girl on Instagram trying to get in their pants?” according to the New York Post. Of course, McBroom denied the rumors, but for him to get accused that much and to deny it every time is fishy.
Sadly, there are several YouTube videos where McBroom is outwardly disrespectful to Paiz on camera. Fans were especially concerned after a video was released in 2020 where McBroom is swearing in front of Paiz and their children, speaking harshly.
These are just a few examples of why McBroom is not liked, and what I’m about to show you will make you dislike him even more. McBroom frequently posts on his Snapchat stories, but following news of his divorce from Catherine, he’s been posting excessively. And the videos are so unhinged.
One person commented “Boy pls just type this in your notes app” and I couldn’t agree more.
WTF. I don’t even have anything else to say.

So you mean to tell me they got divorced just so he could buy a house down the street? The math isn’t mathing.

I can only wonder when McBroom will stop posting, but I don’t think he ever will. I’m just hoping his kids and Catherine are doing well.
