Hola, mis amigos. Welcome to another week’s review of The Bachelorette by me, AshLee Frazier.
A quick little recap for those of you who may have missed my earlier write-ups. I was previously a contestant on Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor, where I was given a famous, not-so-fancy exit of shame as one of the final three.
For those wanting to know if it was real, yes. While a lot starts and stops on the editing floor, the emotions, heartbreak, tears and love are indeed the real deal. You can’t make that up. Someone at this point would have cracked with their version of a tell-all. And yes, my heart was broken. Looking back, I was more embarrassed than anything. I felt dumb for believing that Sean truly didn’t have “anything” between the other girls—something I confronted him about in a now infamous scene from my season’s Women Tell All episode.
Also, looking back, he and Catherine are undoubtedly perfect for one another. I’m not your typically corking and dad-joking kind of gal. I love to laugh and have fun, but in a more mature way. I’m more likely to laugh at you because you actually thought up that dad joke than to think the dad joke was funny. Sorry to my best friend who is the king of dad-jokes.
Needless to say, life has moved on, and I am so happy with my life. God has blessed me beyond measure. I now get to travel all over the world, sharing my love for fashion and fitness, as well as be a part of the phenomenon family called Bachelor Nation. Now, let’s jump right into discussing JoJo the beautiful Bachelorette’s journey to find love.
Well, two minutes into the episode, and I’ve already paused to see about booking a vacay to Buenos Aires. I’ve never been, and it is definitely on my list of places to go. The best part is it’s an affordable vacation spot.
My first laughable moment is that the boys have to share beds. See, going on this show does have its bad moments. They don’t want to give everyone their own room because they’d never leave and converse with one another. They want them to be crammed and close together to hopefully cause a little discord. It makes sense, but it is not as fancy as you’d think.
Wells with the first one-on-one. I like him! I also like that he hasn’t kissed her. It’s respectful and sweet. That’s my kind of guy. Although his little freckled face would make that hard. I’m sad to see him go. It seemed as though he was genuine. He just needed more time. That’s the thing about this show. It’s a rushed thing, and I get that. But then, you need more time, and I get that part too.
The group date seemed to be pretty by the books. Gosh, I want to root for my Houston boy James Taylor so badly. He is probably not going to make it much further. I am actually going to reach out to him and find him a good Houstonian lady. Any takers?
On JoJo’s two-on-one, I spent the ending laughing out loud at the “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” moment, with Derek crying in the back of the car leaving. I don’t know how the producers and editor make it through some of these scenes without sore cheeks and rock hard abs—you know, from all the laughing they must do.
Overall, I am happy with JoJo’s decision tonight. My top three are Jordan, Robby and James (even though in my heart I don’t think he gets picked).
Below are some of my best attempts to find similar, budget-friendly outfits like my friend JoJo is wearing. If there is anything you want me to find out for you (as far as outfits go, obviously), just let me know and I will ask her personally.
