Arie Luyendyk Jr. Reveals Details About His Wedding to Lauren Burnham & Twitter Isn’t Sure How to Feel

Just in time for Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette on May 28, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham have released details about their upcoming wedding. On The View this morning, the happy couple announced they’re getting married in a private ceremony in Maui on January 12, 2019. I’m pretty surprised it’s not going to be a televised event, seeing as Arie seems to have a love of big public gestures. Of course, this news comes only a day after Becca announced her own engagement, so I guess he’s still wanting to upstage her.

Many fans were supportive of Arie and Lauren, claiming that they deserve happiness, especially when Becca has obviously moved on with her own engagement and can’t wipe the smile off her face.

Other Bachelor Nationers clearly weren’t as impressed with the cutesy announcement…

While I’m happy for both of them, I don’t think the timing of the announcement was appropriate, especially considering the date they set is about a year after Arie realized his feelings for Lauren weren’t going to go away. Why couldn’t they have had a nice October wedding like the rest of the world?
