On September 20, long-time and aspiring Apple fans can get their hands on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.
After much anticipation, Apple revealed the new iPhones at the company’s Cupertino headquarters. The iPhone 5S will begin selling at $199 with a two-year contract while the cheaper iPhone 5C will begin at a selling price of $99.
The 5S has so far been the most talked-about of the two phones due to its color schemes and improved system applications. The 5S almost identically imitates the iPhone 5, but is equipped with an improved battery, new camera and motion processing systems that create a smoother experience. Along with a fingerprint recognition security system, the 5S gets even fancier by decking out in gold, silver and “space gray.”
The 5C features a set of five vibrant colors for buyers to choose from and boasts some system improvements of its own.
But will the new iPhones be worth the money? While it’s still too early to tell, criticisms are already starting to emerge stating that the phones are more alike than they are different, as a pre-iPhone release article predicted.
