Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone Use Paparazzi and Paper Bags

As if we needed yet another reason to fall in love with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone even more…

Leading the life of a celebrity typically involves listening to constant shutters when trying to run simple errands. Paparazzi follow Garfield and Stone, co-stars of The Amazing Spider-Man, anywhere they go. It seems like every kiss in New York City, stroll on the beach in Malibu, and handhold in Los Angeles is documented (not that we’re complaining).

Over the weekend, when the perfect (who said that?) couple realized they had been caught once again while dining at a restaurant, they used the paparazzi for good. They wrote one long continuous message on two brown paper bags to support and raise awareness for two charities. Once they emerged from the restaurant, Garfield and Stone held up their message for the remainder of the day throughout the city.

“We just found out that there were paparazzi outside the restaurant we were eating in. So… why not take this,” Stone wrote on her bag, ending with an arrow pointing to Garfield’s.

His continued, “opportunity to bring attention to organizations that need and deserve it? www.WWO.org, www.gildasclubnyc.org. Have a great day!”

The first site goes to Worldwide Orphans Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping orphaned children “become healthy, independent, productive members of their communities and the world,” says its site.

Gilda’s Club New York City, Stone and Garfield’s second referenced charity, is a free community for everyone affected by cancer. Its purpose is to provide social and emotional support so no one has to face cancer alone.

Their creative use of the paparazzi definitely caught our attention. Seems like the simple paper bags are working!
