Amber Left ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 6 & The Reason Had To Do With 1 Person

Spoiler Warning: Spoilers for Love Is Blind Season 6 follow. Love Is Blind is easily one of my favorite reality shows. If you don’t have any plans this Valentine’s Day, I highly encourage you to dedicate your day to watching the first six episodes of Love Is Blind Season 6. It will make you want to fall in love, but you’ll also be pissed off by some characters, or perhaps one in particular: Yes, I’m talking about Matthew.

I like most of the contestants this season, but there’s always one who bothers me. Or, for a lack of better words, one that I strongly dislike. This season, my least favorite has got to be Matthew. And if you’ve watched the show, you know why.

Let’s start off on a more positive note: Amber and Amber “AD” Desiree slay. I love both of them, and clearly Matthew loved two-timing them. This toxic love triangle was tough to watch, especially considering all of this is literally happening behind closed doors. How can a man be this toxic behind a wall? It makes me wonder what Matthew is like IRL.

Matthew was off to a rather good start before he messed everything up, which happened in the first episode. He played the act of being hard with his feelings and always equated that to him being a small-town country boy, but I didn’t buy it. Especially after seeing how he two-timed Amber and AD right off the bat.

Even though Matthew really tugged at AD’s heartstrings, she managed to stay and eventually fostered a strong connection with Clay, whom she gets engaged to. Amber, however, had enough, and understandably, left. But what exactly prompted Amber to leave Love Is Blind in the first place? Here’s what we know so far.

Despite Matthew stating it takes him a while to open up and form a connection with somebody, it didn’t take him long to foster a connection with two women! Seems a little contradictory, no? He told Amber and AD the same things: he wanted to ask for their fathers’ permission for their hand in marriage, and, most importantly, he wanted to leave the show with them whenever they were ready. He’s an idiot, respectfully.

The girls in the pods often chat about their dates and who they were forming connections with, and Amber and AD were no exception. The women started to put two-and-two together and figured out Matthew was totally two-timing them, and it didn’t take long for Amber to say “Sayonara” to Love Is Blind

Amber is that girl. She was saying everything the viewers were feeling, expressing things like “what the actual f*ck is wrong with men!” I’m wondering the same thing. Amber told AD that she was going to “bow out” of the dating experiment and wished her luck.

And let me tell you, Amber leaving was probably the best choice she made on that show. Following her departure, Matthew spoke to AD about it, who he was still stringing along. AD being who she is, put him in his place. During one of their pod dates, Matthew told AD, “‘You know Amber left, right? … I would assume that’s about me,’” to which AD responded, “‘That would be audacious of you.’” Period.

While we don’t know what Amber is up to now, I’m wishing her all the best. And I hope she has a lovely Valentine’s Day, celebrating all the love that her fellow Love Is Blind friends and all the Love Is Blind fans cheering her on at home have for her.
