The Amanda Bynes who danced with lobsters on The Amanda Show is long gone. The 27 year-old troubled television and movie star is facing legal disputes and seems to be digging herself deeper into trouble.
Bynes spoke out on Twitter after being arrested on Thursday evening in New York City. After an employee of her apartment building called the police to report Bynes was smoking marijuana in the lobby, the police searched her apartment and took her into custody. Not only did Bynes claim that she is allergic to alcohol and drugs, but she also plans to sue the NYPD for illegally entering her apartment. She explained her side of the story on Twitter, “I’m suing NYPD for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia, then I’m suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will, then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl that I am.”
Bynes is also suing the NYPD for sexual harassment. She claims she was touched inappropriately during the search. The NYPD has investigated her claim and released the following statement: “Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes’ allegations. To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that none touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time.”
Bynes’ emotions continued to spew on Monday when she attacked Rihanna about her looks on Twitter. Bynes denies that she was behind the tweeting and said, “I’m followed by so many people that someone is always mocking up fake tweets so I feel the need to address them! Rihanna and I met and I’m sure we’ll be in a music video together one day!”
The tweets in question were deleted almost immediately, however pictures were taken of the exchange.
After being seen with a large blonde wig in court, wonders of Bynes’ mental stability are being called into question. She does not seem to be expressing any remorse, in fact, she has declared that she plans to get a nose job and become a singer/rapper. She continues to be active on Twitter, responding and retweeting to allegations made about her.
