After Reportedly Being Escorted Out Of The White House, Omarosa Has Resigned From The Trump Administration

Early Wednesday morning White House press secretary Sarah Sanders released a statement that White House aide (and former contestant on “The Apprentice”) Omarosa Manigault Newman plans to leave the White House next month, CNN reports.  Manigault Newman’s reason for leaving (on paper) is to pursue other opportunities — and her departure will be one year to the day after President Donald Trump was sworn into office.

It is not uncommon for an administration to see a string of departures from staff members, but the Trump administration has certainly had more than usual. Business Insider reports 14 members of President Trump’s staff have either been fired or resigned in the last year, making Manigault Newman the 15th to go. White House insiders are saying this is just the beginning, as CNN reports that President Donald Trump’s Deputy National Security Adviser, Dina Powell will be leaving next month as well.

While Manigault Newman is slated to stay on staff until January 20, 2018, the announcement this morning was anything but calm or professional. Cue White House correspondent and CNN political analyst, April D. Ryan’s Twitter updates.

According to Ryan’s Twitter page, General Kelly fired Manigault Newman and she responded by acting, “very vulgar and cursed a lot.” Minutes later Ryan tweeted, “According to multiple sources Omarosa did not resign. She was even escorted out of [t]he building and off campus.”

While the White House has yet to make an official comment, we can certainly hold our breath for President Donald Trump’s tweet storm that might emerge soon. Until then, let us all take solace in at least one  informative, entertaining and properly punctuated Twitter feed. (Here’s looking at you, Ryan.)
