8 Movie Trailers Aired During The Super Bowl & We Literally Can’t Wait

There are two different types of people who watch the Super Bowl: those who watch for the game and those who watch for the commercials. In my case, I was here for the movie trailers.

With the various options of incredible movies premiering this year, I can’t wait to watch them all.

Here is a list of the trailers debuted on Sunday:

1. The Cloverfield Paradox

According to The Verge, this story focuses on a group of astronauts that deal with some strange and mysterious happenings in space, tying previous films Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane together, and providing some sort of origin story for the mysterious happenings that occur in both movies.

2. Red Sparrow

Jennifer Lawrence stars in this 20th Century Fox film set to premiere in March. She plays protagonist Dominika Egorova, who finds herself as the newest recruit for Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. After enduring the perverse and sadistic training process, she emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced.

3. A Quiet Place

According to Collider, the upcoming horror film starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt (couple goals, am I right?!), follows a family in the woods who have to live in silence or they risk summoning some kind of threat that is hyper-sensitive to sound. When a friendly game of Monopoly ends up making some racket, the family is forced to fight to survive.

4. Solo: A Star Wars Story

The latest spin-off in the Star Wars universe revolves around one of the galaxy’s most iconic characters: Han Solo. Played by Alden Ehrenreich, Solo reveals his backstory of running scams since he was a kid to his goal of becoming the best pilot in the galaxy.

5. Avengers: Infinity War

The next movie in the Avengers series features the Avengers and their allies encountering a new danger emerging from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment — the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Universal Pictures is set to release another sequel to the Jurassic franchise this summer, where the story is set years after theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen — played by Chris Pratt — and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return the entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

7. Mission: Impossible – Fallout

The latest in the Mission Impossible series features Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt and his Impossible Missions Force (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong.

8. Skyscraper

According to Universal Pictures, Dwayne Johnson plays former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who assesses security for skyscrapers. On an assignment in China, he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building above the fire line.
