On Friday, it seemed as if hip hop’s Royal Family was getting a little bigger. “Beyoncé is pregnant with her second child,” claimed several news outlets. To our complete dismay, it was all a rumor. Drats. As expected, we got our hopes up and are now praying that the dream team announces they’re expecting another child. Check out our reasons why we are hoping for another “Babyoncé.”
1. “Babyoncé” and “Kimbryo” would be best friends.
Unless you’re living under a rock, you are well aware that Kim Kardashian and beau Kanye West are expecting a child of their own. Though “Kimbryo” would be a little older than “Babyoncé,” we are convinced that the two tots would be besties. After all, it’s no secret that Yeezy and “H to the Izzo” are long lost brothers. If Beyoncé and Jay-Z were expecting, we could only hope that the two babies would grow up to become rap stars and collaborate all the time. A collegiette can dream, right?
2. How would Beyoncé confirm the news?
Beyoncé has a way of making a statement without words. She simply showed her matronly stomach at the 2011 VMAs to indicate that she was pregnant and sang the National Anthem at a press conference to respond to her lipsyncing scandal. If she were pregnant, we would love to see how she’d announce the good news.
3. Who runs the world?
So long, Spice Girls– Beyoncé truly represents girl power. As collegiettes, we are hoping she has another girl. Since Beyoncé is the epitome of an independent woman, Blue Ivy and her theoretical new daughter are sure to carry the Queen’s legacy. Just think: if Bey and Jay had another child after the hypothetical “Babyoncé,” the three of them could create their own version of Destiny’s Child. Reunion tour, anyone?
4. Blue Ivy needs a brother or sister.
After all this time, Blue Ivy is still a mystery to us. Instead of seeing many pictures of her sporting designer threads (a la Suri Cruise and Skyler Berman), we only get quick glimspes into Blue Ivy’s life. But that doesn’t stop us from thinking she’d make a lovely big sister.
5. What’s in a name?
If you ever thought that the dynamic duo would name their child some ordinary, think again! Blue Ivy is already extravagant, so what would they come up with next? We’re dying to know!
6. A happy and healthy family for the Carters.
If Beyoncé: Life is But a Dream taught us anything, it’s that having a child wasn’t easy for the triple threat: Queen B had a miscarriage that inspired her song “Heartbeat.” We would love to see Beyoncé’s family grow and hope any baby she has in the future is healthy.
7. We’re craving “Glory Part 2.”
Whether you love or hate rap music, you must admit that you have a soft spot for “Glory,” the song Jay-Z released shortly after Blue Ivy was born. Would Sean Carter record another song for his new son or daughter? What about Beyoncé? Better yet, would there be a duet? We can barely contain our excitement!
