7 Movie Releases We Can’t Wait to See in 2015

With the New Year comes brand new goals, resolutions and… new flicks to binge watch. Fortunately, Hollywood is turning out an amazing line-up for 2015—from feel-good comedies to gripping action movies, this upcoming year promises an exciting year of films. Here are the top movies we can’t wait to catch!

1. San Andreas

If 2014 left a disaster movie void in your heart, San Andreas is here to fill it. In case you don’t recall your grade school Earth Science class, San Andreas refers to the giant fault line beneath the California coastline. So expect to witness an earthquake of epic proportions!

2. Minions

You’re never too old to see an animated kids film, especially if it’s a good one. There’s something about the minions from Despicable Me that makes us all get all giddy inside, so you can be sure to find us at the theater alongside the little kids when this feel-good spinoff comes out.

3. Ted 2

Seth MacFarlane is basically a comic genius. Ted generated almost a cult-like following that admittedly, we may have a part of. We’re honestly counting down the days until we get a new dose of the talking teddybear’s abrasive, over the top humor in this date night flick.

4. Jurassic World

We used to think the Jurassic Park franchise was just for our action-obsessed kid brothers and dads, but Jurassic World proves that theory completely wrong. In this sci-fi picture, you’ll witness the goings-on of a dinosaur theme park and of course, how quickly things can run amok. If you’re not convinced yet, how would you feel if we told you Chris Pratt is in the film?

5. Spectre

Thanks to the intriguing plot and spectacular acting, Skyfall left us with our jaws on the floor. Now, the James Bond series is back and bigger than ever with Spectre. Though details of the film have yet be released, we’re sure Daniel Craig will impress us with his suave and quick-witted prowess as a spy. Plus, Adele will be providing the main theme song, which is always a good sign.

6. 50 Shades of Grey

Ever since the trailer release, we’ve been at a loss of what to think of 50 Shades of Grey. It mostly creeps us out, but there is a small part of us that fascinated by this twisted plot, which makes us not want to miss out on this book-based erotic thriller. Plus there’s Jamie Dornan, he’s ok to look at.

7.  Pitch Perfect 2

We don’t even know where to begin when it comes why we’re pumped for Pitch Perfect 2. Of course we’re ecstatic for the soundtrack, which will probably be sending music shock waves for months (the cups song is still stuck in our heads). But we also can’t wait to see what antics the Bellas are up to now, and we’re especially looking forward to more of Fat Amy’s quick-witted one-liners.

Which movies are you most excited to watch in the new year, collegiettes?
