Tuesday’s season two finale of This Is Us was emotional for a number of reasons, but mostly because it meant the show wouldn’t be back until fall of 2018. The showrunners made it even harder on fans by leaving a few cliffhangers: Kevin taking off with Beth’s cousin Zoe, Kate talking to Toby about his medication, and Randall telling Tess “It’s time to go see her,” only for her to reply, “I’m not ready.”
Ready for what? Who’s “her?” Are Kevin and Zoe together? Where’s Beth? Is Toby okay? Is Kate okay? IS ANYONE OKAY?
I’m certainly not — and the rest of the internet doesn’t seem to be either. Twitter users have already begun sharing their theories for the Pearson family’s future, and some of them make a lot of sense.
Future Toby is depressed because they could never have kids and spoiler alert…he found out HE was the cause (Kate thought she was due to her weight/age)
Tess & Randall are going to see Deja…in jail…because she hurt Beth like in Beth’s worst case scenario fear. #ThisIsUs

Here’s my #thisisus theory. Tonight showed that Deja has a streak of uncontrolled anger. I think she eventually takes her anger of being abandoned by her mother out on Beth (as she predicted) and kills her. I think Randall and Tess are referring to visiting Deja in prison.

Deja being in jail for seriously harming or even killing Beth seems to be a popular theory.
I’m here for Kevin’s new relationship. Also, I think Toby wasn’t in Kate’s dreams bc she wouldn’t have met him if Jack was alive. And I’m choosing to believe Deja is incarcerated in the future and that’s who they are going to see bc I don’t accept the dead Beth theory #ThisIsUs

But even if Deja is in jail, some are hoping it’s not for hurting Beth.
WHAT IF THAT FOSTER CHILD TESS IS WORKING WITH IS DEJA’S #ThisIsUs

Remember the kid Tess was seen working with earlier this season? He could be Deja’s son.

Or maybe what we saw doesn’t actually happen at all? I’m not sure what to think, but I do know that in the meantime, I’ll be counting down the days to September.
So #ThisIsUs will be back in the Fall…
That’s nearly 6 months, or 180 days, or 4,320 hours, aka 259,200 minutes.
But who’s counting? pic.twitter.com/ZpLXuYOoh6
