After only three months together, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have ended their globe-trotting, scandal-filled relationship. Looking back, their romance always did seem too good to be true. Here’s why:
1. They both live extremely busy lives.
While Taylor is constantly writing songs and jetting off to her multiple homes around the U.S., Tom is filming scenes for Thor: Ragnarok and promoting his television show The Night Manager. Long distance relationships are tough.
2. Tom is not very open with his personal life.
Taylor’s Instagram and Twitter are packed with pictures of her hanging out with her girl squad and playing with animals. On the other hand, Tom just joined Instagram (yes, in 2016), and his Twitter focuses more on charities and global issues rather than himself.

3. Their dance moves were not in sync.
We should have seen it coming from the start. Taylor makes the moves up as she goes, and Tom was struggling to keep up from their first meeting. A couple that can dance together, stays together.
4. Chris Hemsworth is Tom’s one true love.
Although they play enemies in the Thor franchise, it is clear that Chris and Tom have one of the best bromances in Hollywood. We bet Chris is comforting Tom over his public breakup right now.
5. Taylor only needs her cats.
Meredith and Olivia are all that Taylor needs. They are always there for her and truly make Taylor’s Instagram perfect. There is no shame in being a cat lady, Tay.
