The 15 Wackiest Things That UberFacts Has Taught Us

UberFacts: providing its Twitter followers daily with “the most unimportant things you’ll never need to know.” Though there are the haters out there who claim that the über-popular Twitter account is more fun than factual, we don’t need any citations to confirm that useless information is the best kind of information. We’re not sure if knowing the number of people killed every year by falling coconuts—150, if you were wondering—will ever help us forge meaningful relationships or get ahead in our careers, but this daily dose of mind-blowing trivia definitely provides us with some great ice breakers!

Yes, we will admit, some of UberFacts’ tweets have left us a little skeptical…

…but most of their tweets are just too bizarre to have made up.

UberFacts has redefined for us the meaning of irony.

“It’s like rain on your wedding day”? Whatever, Alanis Morissette. How about this for irony?

Or how about the fact that our morning Starbucks is apparently worth more than the meaning of life?

UberFacts has also made us question the deeper meaning behind our daily habits.

It’s like you can see right through us, UberFacts.

UberFacts’ tweets have allowed us to become edified in etymology,

in the know about diverse forms of artistic entertainment,

and up to date on pressing conspiracy theories.

UberFacts has also really made us want to take a trip to China sometime.

You mean these things aren’t acceptable in America?

JK, we don’t want to go to China anymore.

The only drawback to UberFacts: we’re now a little apprehensive of ducks.

Because you never know. This could be happening right now!
